Meet the Artist
Isabel Ivey is an independent artist whose work is guided by intention, curiosity, and a deep respect for storytelling. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the California Institute of the Arts, where she focused on mixed media art, completing a double major in Fine Art and Art Direction with a minor in Digital Art. During her time at CalArts, she was also shaped by her involvement in the Community Arts Partnership (CAP) program, where creativity met service and collaboration became a cornerstone of her practice.
Isabel’s professional path has carried her into art departments across television, theater, and film, where she has contributed to projects that reach wide and diverse audiences. Her credits include work on the Disney Channel’s Just Roll With It, ABC Network/Disney Studios’ Black-ish and Grown-ish, Peacock’s The Paper, and the feature film Candy Cane Lane starring Eddie Murphy, as well as numerous independent short films. In these spaces, she brings care, adaptability, and a strong visual voice to collaborative environments, helping transform ideas into lived-in worlds that feel honest and alive.
Alongside her work in production, Isabel maintains an active fine art practice grounded in exploration and cultural dialogue. Her mixed media work has been exhibited in galleries from Miami to Cuba to Los Angeles, reflecting a practice that is both personal and expansive. Whether working in a studio, on set, or within communities, her approach remains the same: to create with integrity, to honor process, and to contribute work that resonates beyond the moment.
